Report Delivery: MERT

• The Interface between CoPath and MARS is called

MERT (MARS Electronic Report Transmission).

It was developed in January 1995.

• MERT sends signed out reports, in real time,

from CoPath to MARS.

• The combination of the real time MERT interface

and the on-line nature of MARS means that reports

are available to clinicians the minute they are signed out.

• This decreases AP Turn around Time, lower overall

hospital costs and improves patient care.
